HAYDEN HOMESTEAD

In the
center of Hayden Park in Waterbury, Connecticut, this "extreme" Victorian
Homestead once dominated the hillside location. In 1920, two surviving daughters of
the original (and only) owner deeded the land to the city for use as a "passive"
park, to always be known as Hayden Homestead Park.

HILLSIDE AVENUE SCHOOL

the corners of Hillside and Central Avenues until the turn to the 20th century, this
massive Victorian edifice housed one of Waterbury's oldest schools and was razed in the
early 1900's This mouse pad depicts the only color illustration of this building ever
created.

FULTON PARK LOGO

The most
beautiful inner city park in Waterbury, Connecticut, this 100 acre oasis is a sanctuary
for both wildlife, and humanity. Home to natural plantings in harmony with tended
gardens, the park sports a "friendly" population of Canadian geese and
"smile provoking" Mallard ducks. The custom design on this
mouse pad captures the "natural" character of the park. The park was created in 1930
by donation of the Fulton family in memory of Lewis Edward Fulton.

Cecelia resided in Hillside for over 20 years and currently resides in OakCliff just north
of the Hillside District. Ms. Reynolds, born in 1898 was a Naugatuck teacher and
active member of Connecticut. Artists and Writers Assoc.

the1893 Connecticut Almanac depiction of Rose Hill Mansion in Waterbury,
this rendition depicts the original design and construction of this once
prominent downtown residence constructed in the "Cottage"
style..
This residence remains today, though no longer predominates the hillside
as viewed from the town green. History of Rose Hill included with
mouse pad.
